Defense of the dissertation by Dmytro Serhiiovych CHERNENKO

On August 19, 2026, at a meeting of the ad hoc specialized academic council of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Dmytro Serhiiovych CHERNENKO successfully defended his dissertation titled «Elements of Turnip Cultivation Technology in the Western Polissya Region of Ukraine» for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 201 – Agronomy.

Research advisors: Oleksandr KUTS, Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences, Senior Researcher, Associate Professor in the Department of Agrochemistry at the State Biotechnology University of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Oksana SERHIІENKO, Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences, Senior Researcher, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Crops of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences.

A one-time specialized academic council consisting of the council chair, Dr. of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Oleksandr VITANOV, chief research fellow at the Laboratory of Adaptive Vegetable Crops, Storage, and Standardization of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Crops of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences; reviewers: Oleksii MELNYK, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Senior Researcher, and Head of the Department of New Technologies for Growing Vegetable and Melon Crops at the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Crops of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (NAAS); Volodymyr MYKHAILІN, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Agrochemical Research and Product Quality at the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine; official opponents: Vasyl OVCHARUK, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Professor in the Department of Horticulture and Viticulture at Podilsk State University, a higher education institution under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; Nataliіa YATSENKO, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Vegetable Crops at Uman National University, unanimously adopted a decision regarding the compliance of the dissertation with the requirements of the «Procedure for Awarding the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy and for Revoking the Decision of a One-Time Specialized Academic Council of a Higher Education Institution, or a scientific institution regarding the awarding of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy,» approved by Resolution No. 44 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 12, 2022, No. 44, and awarded Dmytro Serhiiovych CHERNENKO the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge 20 – Agricultural Sciences and Food in the specialty 201– Agronomy.
