Presentation of Commemorative Awards to Employees of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the NAAS

On August 20, 2026, on the eve of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, a formal reception hosted by Mayor Veniamin SITOV was held in the Merefyanska community, during which the top representatives of teams, organizations, institutions, and enterprises within the Merefyanska urban territorial community were honored.

During the event, commemorative awards were presented to employees of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine:

• to Oleksii ALFOROV, Director of the Institute – the «Badge of Honor of the Merefa City Territorial Community» medal;
• to Olha CHAІUK, Head of the Department of Academic Staff, Graduate Studies, and Legal Affairs at the Institute, was awarded the «Magical Power of Ukraine» medal.
