Participation in the General Meeting of the NAAS

On April 29, 2026, a meeting of the General Assembly of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (NAAS) was held, attended by the Director of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oleksii ALFOROV, Head of the Laboratory of Genetics, Genetic Resources, and Biotechnology, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Tetiana IVCHENKO, and Acting Director of the Donetsk Research Station of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing NAAS, Doctor of Philosophy Zakhar LINNIK.

The agenda included:
- a report on the results of the NAAS’s activities for 2021–2025 and key objectives for the future, presented by Yaroslav HADZALO, Academician of the NAAS and President of the NAAS;
- Financial support and use of funds for 2021–2025 within the NAAS system, presented by Ihor HRYNNYK, NAAS Academician and Acting First Vice President of the NAAS;
- The new version of the Regulations on the Honorary President of the NAAS and his election.

The meeting also included elections for the NAAS President, First Vice President, Vice Presidents, Chief Scientific Secretary, and members of the NAAS Presidium, as well as the approval of the academician-secretaries of the NAAS divisions.
Following a secret ballot, Ihor Volodymyrovych HRYNNYK was elected President of the NAAS.
The First Vice President, Vice Presidents, Chief Scientific Secretary, and members of the NAAS Presidium were also elected, and the academicians-secretaries of the NAAS departments were approved.
