Training of the population affected by the military aggression of the russian federation as part of the program "Restoration of livelihoods in agriculture to ensure food security in Ukraine"

On July 13-14, the training of the population affected by the military aggression of the russian federation as part of the program "Restoration of livelihoods in agriculture to ensure food security in Ukraine" began with the support of the international humanitarian organization Corus International.

Experts-advisors of the Institute, Doctor of Sciences O. V. Sergienko, deputy director for scientific work, and O. D. Vitanov, head of the department of the latest technologies for growing vegetable and melon crops, began a series of lectures on educating the population of Dergachyv community in the direction of "Production of vegetable, melon products and potatoes in open ground".

The event was attended by: representative of the humanitarian organization Corus International Berezhna Svitlana Oleksandrivna and representative of the NGO "Kharkiv Regional Counseling Center" Haponyk Svitlana Volodymyrivna, who are curators of the Program in Ukraine.

The training was conducted for the population of Dergachyv community.

The training participants received valuable scientifically based information on growing vegetables, melon crops and potatoes in the open soil of the Forest Steppe of Ukraine.

The training was conducted for four groups of community residents, each of which consisted of 125 people.

The training was fruitful, the experts answered many questions that interested the residents of the community.

A survey was also conducted on the practical benefits of training for the restoration of livelihoods in today's conditions, and participants were given the opportunity to provide their suggestions on current topics for the future.

The most interested participants expressed their desire to study the questions in more detail at the training seminars that will be held later.

By participating in such events, the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing makes its significant contribution to restoring life in the most affected regions of the Kharkiv region.
