Master class "Introgressive selection of nightshade plant species. Achievements and prospects"

On June 29, 2023, in accordance with the Plan of International and All-Ukrainian Scientific Events, the Master Class "Introgressive Selection of Nightshade Plant Species" was held. Achievements and prospects" meeting was held online in the format of a ZOOM conference.

The organizer is the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the NAAS.

Scientists from scientific institutions of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine - the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the NAAS took part in the master class, Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the NAAS and higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine - the Central Ukrainian National Technical University of the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Belotserkiv National Agrarian University of the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as the Agricultural Service Cooperative "Nash Dobrobut".

The participants received specialized scientific information on the prospects of using wild genetic plasma in selection work with nightshade crops - tomato, pepper and eggplant to increase the level of manifestation of valuable quantitative and qualitative traits of these crops.
