Participation in the seminar «Ways to minimize the effects of climate change and introduce resource-saving technologies in agriculture»

With the assistance of the Department of Agricultural Development of the Kharkiv Regional State (Military) Administration, in accordance with a letter from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine dated February 23, 2026, employees of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, O.V. Melnyk and V.P. Rud, participated in a seminar via Zoom conference on the topic: «Ways to minimize the effects of climate change and introduce resource-saving technologies in agriculture.»

Presentations were given on the following topics:

  • «Characteristics of weather conditions in the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026 in the Eastern region and their impact on the future harvest of agricultural crops in 2026» (Yurii Petrovych KIRIIAK, Head of the Kherson Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences);
    «Agrotechnological methods of winter crop care and features of spring grain sowing in eastern Ukraine» (Serhii Oleksandrovych ZAIETS, Head of the Department of Climate-Oriented Agrotechnologies at the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor);
  • «Features of winter rapeseed crop care and cultivation of rare oil crops in the context of increasing climate aridity» (Oleksandr Leonidovych RUDIK, leading researcher at the Department of Climate-Oriented Agricultural Technologies of the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor);
  • «Features of cultivation and varietal composition of new sunflower and corn hybrids in the Eastern region of Ukraine in 2026» (Anatolii Mykolaiovych VLASHCHUK, Head of the Department of Primary and Elite Seed Production at the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Senior Researcher);
    «Features of protecting grain, oilseed, and industrial crops in the agroclimatic conditions of 2026» (Iryna Mykolaivna SUHAK, Head of the Plant Protection Laboratory at the Institute of Climate-Oriented Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences).
